Job Description

This is a probationary vocal/general music teacher position at the Voorheesville Middle School and Clayton A. Bouton High School, beginning September 1, 2025. The salary and benefits for this position are pursuant to the current VTA contract.

Job Qualifications

1. New York State K-12 Music Certification.
2. Ability to direct large choral ensembles.
3. Ability to teach middle school or high school general music within the guideline of the NY State Standards for the Arts and the curriculum of the school district.
4. Strong piano skills desired.
5. Excellent knowledge of vocal pedagogy and choral techniques.
6. Excellent classroom management skills with large ensemble classes.
7. Dedicated to teaching and instilling an appreciation of music with middle and high school students.
8. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
