                     Special Education Summer Program

                        Part-Time Temporary 12.5 hours per week

 

The Position

 

The Voorheesville Central School District has one part-time, temporary position for a School Nurse to provide nursing care for the K-6 summer special education setting (summer school hours are 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.) Monday - Friday, July 6 through August 14, 2026.  Salary and benefits per VTA contract.

 

General Duties

1. Communicate with parents and staff regarding health needs and concerns.
2. Administer medication (as ordered by physician) according to regulations and policy, if needed.
3. Complete and file accident/incident reports as appropriate.

 

Job Qualifications

1.  Registered Nurse.
2.  Strong background in school nursing.
3.  Excellent health, work habits, and employment attendance history.
4.  Good college record and excellent references.
5.  Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
6.  OSPRA fingerprint clearance required.
