                             Special Education Summer Program

                             Part-Time Temporary 15 hours per week

 

The Position

 

The Voorheesville Central School District has two part-time, temporary positions for Special Education Teachers working with special education students in the K-6 summer special education setting. The Special Education Teacher(s) duties will include providing individualized instruction for students with special needs in the areas of reading, writing and math. The hours will be 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Monday - Friday, July 6 through August 14, 2026. Salary and benefits are per VTA contract.

General Duties

1. Provide support to special education students.
2. Work closely with teaching assistants and related service providers to ensure students maximum success.

           

 

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

1. Fully certified as a Special Education Teacher in New York State.
2. Background in Literacy preferred.
3.  Excellent health, work habits, and employment attendance history.
4. Previous school experience preferred.
5. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
