The Position

The Voorheesville Central School District has one part-time, temporary position for a Physical Therapist to provide support to special education students in the K-6 summer special education setting. The Physical Therapist will work closely with the Special Education Teachers and other related service providers. The Summer Program hours will be between 8:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., hours & days of PT to be determined (anticipated 4 hours per week), July 6 through August 14, 2026. Salary and benefits per VTA contract.

General Duties

1. Provide support to special education students.
2. Assist in the implementation of individual education plan.
3. Work closely with Special Education Teacher and Teaching Assistants to help the students maximize their efforts.

 

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

1. Fully certified as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
2. Ability to work well with children in the area of Special Education.
3. Excellent health, work habits, and employment attendance history.
4. Previous school experience preferred.
5. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
6. OSPRA fingerprint clearance required.
