School-Year Building Substitute (2 Positions)

Voorheesville Central School District
2026-2027 School Year

The Voorheesville Central School District is seeking two dependable, flexible, and student-centered individuals to serve as School-Year Building Substitutes for the 2026-2027 school year.

These positions were created to provide consistent support for students and staff while ensuring the continuity of daily school operations. Unlike a traditional per diem substitute position, School-Year Building Substitutes report to work each scheduled student attendance day in accordance with the District calendar and become an integral part of the school community.

Successful candidates will be assigned to either the Elementary School or the Middle/High School Campus as their primary work location. However, to best meet the operational needs of the District, School-Year Building Substitutes may be reassigned to another building or campus as needed.

Assignments will vary based on the daily needs of the building and may include providing coverage for instructional and non-instructional staff absences, supervising students, and providing instructional or operational support as directed by the Building Principal. When substitute coverage is not needed, School-Year Building Substitutes will be assigned supervisory, student support, or other duties that contribute to the effective operation of the school.

Work Schedule

  • Reports to work each scheduled student attendance day in accordance with the District's adopted school calendar.

  • Assigned to either the Elementary School or Middle/High School Campus as the primary work location but may be reassigned based on District needs.

  • This is a school-year position and is not an on-call substitute assignment.

Compensation

  • $200 per day

  • Compensation is provided only for days actually worked in accordance with the District's adopted school calendar.

  • No compensation is provided for holidays, recess periods, emergency school closures, or other non-work days.

  • This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
