      Mathematics Teacher – Grade 8

The Voorheesville Central School District is seeking a collaborative, student-centered Grade 8 Mathematics Teacher for the Middle School beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.  This is a full-time, probationary position.

The successful candidate will engage students in meaningful mathematics instruction that builds conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence. The teacher will work as part of a professional team to support the academic and social-emotional growth of all learners.

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Voorheesville Teachers Association contract.

The successful candidate will:

1. Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Grade 8 Mathematics and    Algebra.
2. Implement the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards.
   Utilize effective instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
3. Design lessons that promote critical thinking, perseverance, and real-world application.
4. Use assessment data to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
5. Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
6. Integrate instructional technology to enhance learning.
7. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum alignment and student success.
9. Support the District’s commitment to equity and high expectations for all students.

                            Special Education Teacher (2)

                             Special Education Summer Program

                             Part-Time Temporary 15 hours per week

The Position

The Voorheesville Central School District has two part-time, temporary positions for Special Education Teachers working with special education students in the K-6 summer special education setting. The Special Education Teacher(s) duties will include providing individualized instruction for students with special needs in the areas of reading, writing and math. The hours will be 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Monday - Friday, July 6 through August 14, 2026. Salary and benefits are per VTA contract.

General Duties

1. Provide support to special education students.
2. Work closely with teaching assistants and related service providers to ensure students maximum success.
